Centrepoint - Violent Night
Every year, Wonderhood creates a Christmas film. This year, we wanted to create something with impact. We proactively came up with the idea of changing the lyrics of Silent Night to Violent Night to highlight the horrifying stat that almost 8 in 10 homeless people have suffered some sort of violence, abuse, or anti-social behaviour and Centrepoint’s research reveals that more than 24,400 young people are facing homelessness this Christmas, putting their safety at risk.
Launched in December 2023
‘Violent Night’ has been performed by a choir, led by young people affected by homelessness, as a poignant reminder that street violence towards homeless people is a very real threat that thousands face this Christmas.
We also created OOH executions which were the lyrics of Violent Night set on a hymn sheet.
